The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board is a Nigerian entrance examination board for tertiary-level institutions.
The board conducts the entrance Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination for prospective undergraduates into Nigerian universities.
JAMB has finally approved NIN and has made it compulsory for JAMB 2024 UTME registration by the Head of JAMB.
What is NIN?
NIN simply means National Identification Number. It consists of 11 non-intelligible numbers randomly chosen and assigned to an individual after the completion of enrolment into the National Identity Database (NIDB).
Once a NIN is assigned to an individual, it can never be reassigned, given, or used by another person – that makes it unique. In the case of the demise of an individual, his/her NIN is retired once a death certificate is presented to the Commission and the individual’s death is established.
The NIN is compulsory or required for JAMB because your National Identification Number (NIN) contains your data (information about you).
The data contained in your National Identification Number (NIN) will be sued to create your 2024 JAMB PROFILE.
